The Syracuse Fire Department has 12 Fire Stations out of which operate 1 Rescue Company, 10 Engine Companies, 6 Truck Companies, 1 Haz-Mat Unit and an Airport  Rescue Crash Company. In addition to Fire, Rescue, Haz-Mat and Airport Rescue, the Syracuse Fire Department also provides Emergency Medical Services to the City of Syracuse. Each Station houses a "Mini" that carries EMS supplies. The SFD also operates one ALS equiped ambulance from one of its stations.
